The Coalition calls for an immediate end to the violence towards the Coptic Christian community in Egypt.
The government of Egypt must ensure police apprehend those responsible for recent deadly attacks on Copts and that adequate security is provided to the Coptic community.
It is greatly concerning that sectarian clashes are taking place in the near vicinity of the Coptic cathedral in Cairo.
The government should take all possible steps to end this violence and prevent further escalation of attacks on Christians inside Egypt.
